Mike Nicolaou AFA

Director & Tax Specialist
Mike has specialised in tax for over 30 years, starting from humble beginnings in the Inland Revenue, before moving into practice. He set up this business in 1993 and still gets a real buzz out of his work and the fresh challenges each day brings.

Robin J H Dearle BA ACA

Director & Chartered Accountant
Robin moved from the West Country to London in 1983, following graduation, to train as a Chartered Accountant and qualified four years later whilst working in the City. In 1997 Robin decided to join with Mike Nicolaou to form Nicolaou Dearle & Co. Robin has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge, principally in the field of Audit and Accountancy, complementing Mike's tax background, as well as taking an active interest in dealing with the Company Secretarial affairs of clients. Robin holds ethical principals very highly in both his working and private life and endeavours to do what he believes is right, rather than doing something because it's what everyone else does.

Bill Ward AFA

Director & Tax Specialist
With over 30 years taxation experience, starting with the Inland Revenue, Bill moved into accounting practices in London before forming partnership with Jackie Ward in 1995 and later merging with Nicolaou Dearle & Co in 2002. Originally specialising in Personal Tax, Bill now has experience in most areas of Personal and Business tax, including Incorporations, Enterprise Schemes and Property Tax.

Jackie Ward

Director & Tax Specialist 
Jackie has over 30 years’ experience in Personal Tax, setting up her own practice in 1989 to combine a career with motherhood. Of necessity she has gained experience of bookkeeping, accounts, payroll and credit control, but her true vocation is simple: to try to make sure that no one gives the Inland Revenue a penny more than is due.

Trish Nicolaou

Director & Practice Manager
Trish joined Nicolaou Dearle & Co in 2001. She oversees the smooth day-to-day running of the office, supporting the directors and staff, and working on payroll, Company Secretarial and bookkeeping as required.

Darren Ward

Small Business Specialist
Darren worked for 15 years at Natwest Bank, before joining the company in 2001. He specialises in Personal Tax and Accounts for small business clients.

Andy Watkins

Accounts Manager
Andy joined us in 2000 after training with a large firm in the West Midlands. He has over 20 years experience within Private Practice. Andy mainly looks after our Limited Company Accounts along with their Corporation Tax Returns and heads up any Audits for our larger clients. He has a varied knowledge in a number of industries including: Construction, Retail, Motor Industry and Financial Services.

Katherine Davies ACCA

Accounts Senior
Katherine joined the company from school in 2001 after completing her A Levels. After initially training for the AAT examinations, she went on to qualify with the ACCA in 2007. Katherine's work covers a variety of areas which includes Audits, Management Accounts, Personal and Corporation Tax.

Jane Oven

Payroll Manager
Jane has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of payroll and has worked with Mike since 1997.

Monty Nicolaou

Office Dog
Monty, the Springer Spaniel, joined the company in 2008, providing support and entertainment for staff and clients alike. He spends most days tucked away under Mike’s desk, unless distracted by the rustle of food packaging or the occasional walk.
